ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Ron Escheté Trio is widely known as the "trio that sounds like a quartet." Ron Escheté and Todd Johnson, who have been playing together since 1991, both have the unique ability to play bass lines and chord changes at the same time. Paul Humphrey played drums on most of the trio's recordings until 2000, when Kendall Kay joined the group.

Bill Dedman

Mo' Strings Attached
Most underrated jazz guitarist in America, Ron Eschete is THE master of the 7-string guitar. His bass player, Todd Johnson (6-string bass) is equally talented and the three of them (including drummer,Paul Humphries,) sound like 4 people, but there;s NO overdub on this CD. This one is their best effort, I think and if I could give it ten stars, I would; that's how good it really is!!!
