If you like funky, hot and sultry trumpet playing, you'll be sure to enjoy this cd. 'Can You Hear Me' demonstrates Ron Haynes' skills in jazz and funk, categorizing his music as contemporary, urban, smooth jazz. Also featuring (Simone),daughter of Nina Simone.

Some of the highlights of Ron's career includes: Studying under jazz great, Donald Byrd; playing an integral part of the grammy nominated band 'Liquid Soul'; forming his own horn section, the 'Chicago Storm Horns, which went on to join the Ohio Players; taking on the role of horn section leader then bandleader for the 'Mac Men,' for Midnight Mac with Bernie Mac, Also a member of Ramsey Lewis Urban Knight's.

So Smooth
The flugal horn play is very smooth. This is a must have for the serious horn listener. This is by far one of the best CD's featuring flugal horn or trumpet in the smooth jazz genre in the past year on any label. This is a cd that I have long been waiting for. If you know who the Urban Knights are, then you will be familiar with this artist.
Yes Ron, I can definitely here you!

The hottest piece of trumpet
Answering Ron's question "Can You Hear Me" with a loud "Yeah" I absolutely recommend this album as the hottest piece of trumpet in this year. Read further at the above mentioned link.

Having the pleasure of meeting you and listening to your first project, I find this CD, Can you hear me?, a nother pleasureful moment. I thoroughly enjoyed each track from this cd. From the smooth, sexy and savy Lil Bit, to the bumping Keep it Real. Each track has something new to offer. I know Ron's story, and with each project, he displays his that is true and encouraging. Keep up the Great work Ron, and Yes, I CAN HEAR YOU!! Love Ya, Glynetta
