ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

It’s been said that when Hellhounds meet Angels, magic happens!
On Ron LaSalle’s new CD, that real magic is present and not just in the CD’s Title.
From the opening licks of the title track, he takes his listener on a journey of Angels found and lost during his unexpected mid-forties single life.

A year and a half late on it’s release due to the sudden death of his business partner and long time friend, the legendary A&R man Mike Sikkas. A change in geographical locations (moving from Nashville TN to the new artist haven and hometown of Niagara Falls NY)

On When Hellhounds Meet Angels Ron LaSalle explores the jazzier side of his craft with songs like “The Devils Sneaks In” a confessional conversation with his bartender and the 40’s blues of “Just a Touch of the Blues” featuring Delbert McClinton’s long time horn man Jim Williamson on flugelhorn.
“Just to Remind You” and “I Couldn’t Stay” explore the emptiness of relationships ending without closure.
The up-tempo and humorous “Would It Be Me” and the too the bone honesty of, ‘The Haunted Kind” round out his latest offering without filler. When Hellhounds Meet Angels is already being touted as his masterpiece.
