ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the sound of the next election. Roos new album Migration. Prepare yourself for a journey!

Grandiose choirs and chunks of guitars and synths mixed with the intimacy of a lone piano or improvising trombonist. Amidst all this is Johan Roos Högberg with a voice moving smoothly between high falsetto and deep bass, a voice that is central, whatever course the music takes.

One of the main ambitions with Migration has been to make serious matters easy to sing, transforming political issues into personal observations and, as the title suggests, depict social patterns and movements in various forms. A journey between events, from parenting to child-being. How to alter perspectives and ways of thinking, and how they can contribute to new perspectives? And where are the actual borders?
