ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mediaworld would like to take you on a Sentimental Journey to the past with our latest ‘Hooked On Classics’ release. We present a concept album of classic 1940’s songs and music, which introduces vocalists for the first time in the series. We present veteran stage and recording star vocalist Dennis Lotis and who better than Rosemary Squires - Britain’s very own answer to Doris Day to take you on a very enjoyable and nostalgic Sentimental Journey through the years. We recreate a dance hall atmosphere here for you to enjoy with the big band experience of the Al Saxon Big Band and other guest orchestras, and to complete the experience, we include the vocal talents of the Mike Sammes Singers, one of the most famous vocal backing groups of its era.

Up until the ealy 1960’s, most towns in the western world had dance halls. Long before the advent of night clubs and discotheques, people would dance the night away with live bands playing big band, jazz and swing, the most famous of course, being Glenn Miller. So relax and ‘renew those old memories’ and enjoy your very own musical Sentimental Journey here with us.

Be sure to check put the other titles in the Mediaworld 'Hooked On Classics' series!
