Ready for the Floor

by Rosie and Me

This song showcases Rosie and Me’s country-influenced rendition of the iconic piece, which was released by Hot Chip. While Rosie and Me’s version is certainly a new interpretation, both the vocal melodies and lyrical concepts are delivered expertly.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The five-piece act Rosie and Me have just released a cover for the electro-pop hit “Ready For The Floor”, by Hot Chip, as a digital only single. The song showcases Rosie and Me’s country-influenced rendition of the iconic piece, which was released by Hot Chip in 2008 and reached number six in the United Kingdom.

While Rosie and Me’s version is certainly a new interpretation, both the vocal melodies and lyrical concepts are delivered expertly by singer Rosanne Machado. The opening banjo sets the mood for the song, which advances at an upbeat tempo from inspired guitar riffs to a powerful bass solo.

Rosie and Me started as a happy accident of singer-songwriter Rosanne Machado releasing her homemade songs on the Internet, and have grown over the years into a successful five-piece act from Curitiba, Southern Brazil. In 2010, the band released their critically acclaimed EP “Bird and Whale”, followed by their debut album, “Arrow of My Ways”, in 2012.
