Album Notes
"Promises" was Alan's first CD release, featuring romantic and upbeat pop-style instrumental music, with a blend of contemporary jazz, classical, R&B and Latin influences. Shortly after making an impact on Adult Contemporary radio stations in the US, Alan produced a music video of the title track "Promises," co-produced with John Landis, and filmed in Malibu, California. It was immediately picked up by MTV Asia, Star TV Asia, MOR and later featured on the Home Shopping Network, PBS, Classic Arts Showcase, and other mainstream broadcast networks. Musicians: Alan Roubik (piano / composer), Grant Geissman (guitar), Melvin Davis (bass), Paul Russo and Hall Melia (saxophone), Dave Hooper (drums), Cristobal Granados (percussion), Suzie Katayama (string orchestrator and conductor), chief recording engineer Alan Hirshberg.
