Album Notes
Rebecca Ramsey
Solo Violinist/Composer

The music I composed for The Stone Sanctuary is like snapshots of places in Zion National Park that I would like share with you. It is my hope that the calming powers of these melodies and harmonies- inspired by nature- will renew your mind and spirit; awakening your heart to the spiritual truths that await within."

Rebecca Sabine-Ramsey, violinist and composer, was born in Long Beach , CA and was lead violinist for many years of the Caesar's Palace Orchestra for such stars as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Natalie Cole and Tony Bennett. Among her many professional accomplishments, she was the concertmaster for Andrea Bocelli's PBS special and DVD, Amore-Under a Desert Sky, has toured with Van Morrison and Il Divo. She currently plays for Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace.

Rebecca Ramsey's CD, The Stone Sanctuary, Silhouettes of Zion, won third place, out of 10,000 albums submitted, for best instrumental album at the Just Plain Folks Awards 2004, a Web-based independent music organization with more than 25,000 members. ( Dr. Paul Leon Masters, founder of the University of Metaphysics International, describes it as "music that causes the soul to flow into higher realms of beingness and Spirit- a perfect prelude to practicing meditation."

album of peaceful awakenings for mankind
Inspiring violinist/composer Rebecca Ramsey sets the mood to visit ZIon National Park in Utah with "The Stone Sanctuary, Silhouettes of Zion", this national treasure brings people and nature closer together. What better way than through music to express the spirit of suites and preludes with the realm of meditation and relaxation. Composing original works, Ramsey produced, soloed on the violin and conducted the Glenwillow Orchestra, with blends of classical and jazz interwoven very vicely into a musical fabric. The opening selection "Before the Dawn", has shades of composer John Barry sprinkled with the melodic traces of "Somewhere in Time" one of my favorite film scores. Ramsey has captured the essence with her flowing way of composing, much like Mr. Barry. Another highlight pick is the last track "The River Virgin", has moving conterparts that leave you wanting more, reminds me of "How Green was My Valley", and "The Quiet Man, both classic films from director Johy Ford. The album awakens a spirit of caring for your fellowman and helping others less fortunate.

Bradlee Hedrick, Concert Pianist.

This evokes a sense of soaring & tranquility .
This is my second purchase of this CD as I wore out the first.
Need I say more? The music evokes in me a sense of soaring above Zion National Park and a feeling of tranquility at the same time as I listen.
I also bought an extra copy as a gift, as it speaks to the heart.

Wow - opening, uplifting
I've started using this cd in my practice as a masseuse/Reiki Master. The music opens me as well as the client, almost putting us in an altered state just from listening! Very uplifting, opening, helps deepen breathing while calming and soothing the mind, body and spirit. Beautiful! Inspired and inspiring. Well done, Rebecca!
