Album Notes
''Russ Diapper's follow up to 'no cure for curiosity' is a great example of battling the 'difficult second album' stigma head on and blowing it out of the water. With all the usual hard rock, blues and dirty classic rock flavor that you would expect from the former 'Gecko' frontman/drummer, 'KingSnake' takes you on a musical, lyrical roller coaster. Russ' vocals are pushed to the maximum here in his second outing after stepping away from the drum kit and up front to the mic stand. Its got guitar solos, bass solos, thumping drums, grooving beats, honking blues harp and an overall classic aesthetic that leaves you with a taste that would more than quench the musical thirst of the most hardcore rock fans. Russ cites his influences as being acts like The Who, ZZ Top, AC/DC Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar and even The Beatles....and boy does it show. If you like no-Bulls**t rock and roll, hard rock, classic rock or good old fashioned blues, you will enjoy this album. Put it on, turn it up, close your eyes, open your ears and hold tight as you are about to get the KingSnake! ( - )''
