Album Notes
The 3rd Russo release for 2010. Recorded at 3 different locations and also live on a film set location in the south of Spain. Featuring twin-lead vintage electric, double-bass & electric bass guitars, electric piano and dark operatic thrashing. 'Flamingo Dust' is impossible to categorize accurately. The term I've come up with, I will keep for the title of the next one. If you like your music intense, then this is the one for you. Trip-metal with an assortment of song & instrumental arrangements.

I have plucked-out a cover version of a (Bowie/Eno penned) art rock standard "Heroes", from the ever growing cauldron of my music filing cabinet. Covering a song, which can never be topped is something I wanted to avoid doing, but since my albums don't sell much, I thought what the hell...that is, it's not great, but it has something in character, to sneak in.
"Earthbulb" was recorded using a camcorder, driving back through France, on the motorway. The instrumental "Voodoo Machine" was recorded outdoors, at an abandoned hillside village,in Spain, during the searing afternoon heat. "White Hot Fur Box", "Dragonslayer Heart" & "Gimp Doctor From Hadēs" were all recorded at the old address, some months beforehand.
The song "Echo on a Train" was recorded using a Fender Strat & a Double-bass, for extra elasticity. Again, "Heroes" is included, after being omitted from 'The Moneyshot' record, also released in 2010, using 'Savalas', the Telecaster guitar used to record "Find & Fu@#+?~ Your Destiny" from Elev^tor (℗)2009, tuned to C (or just slightly out) & a Yamaha keyboard. The new stuff; titletrack "Flamingo Dust", "Lipstick Fins", "...& The Bonfire Goblins" & "Moonfinger" recorded during the rest of the summer using a humbuckered Mustang.
