Higher & Higher

by Russo

A collection of moments of artistic focus nurtured & programmed into the transom of a well-drilled, adventurous & theatrical group. As I believe the art to be as equally important as the music- therefore this work is dated 1996-2012. Or just over 16 years

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
rec. on 29/06/12 (1:25>1:50am)
I wasn't impressed with this at the time, but decided to go back and attempt a remix with possibly another midi pattern and snare sound. I then discovered the soundcard for kit [Snoang2] was already loaded with them, but rather than opt to search around for a fresh set- I decided to stick with the handlebar-moustache which was on offer. It paid off :-(). The first scat-vocal parts were recorded on the same night as 'Love's no friend of mine'. A few weeks later, I improvised with some jotted down words along the lines of 'Higher & higher & higher' and so on. The cover art is 11 years of celluloid decay. Original spool has images of Acropolis, Temple of Olympian, Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus,Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Parthenon etc. But years of storage in a loft let nature in- to paint it's own version of events. It has quite a retro early 70's sound, although not deliberate.
