Lover Lover

by Russo

A haunted and soulful 70's style UK Classic Rock song. 'Lover Lover' is a slow, moody ballad with eerie whiplash-whammy guitar parts, movin' over a pounding & relentless rhythm section.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Started life as a jam track, before going through a tidy-up edit process, which released it's potential as an actual song-base composition. The drums were originally tuned-up around January'12. The one used here, is the 3rd version of that kit- Ledwig3. Around late July, I recorded the guitar and bass parts, which needed extensive editing and cutting down to 3mins plus. The rhythm guitar was recorded first, and lasted 5m:30s. The words were written for no particular song, but were actually printed out, so when it came to recording session, this just happened to be the first page in the folder. So there is a touch of randomness about the song's construction, which I quite enjoy. What else? oh yeas, the microphone cable I was using at the time had a wire disconnected- I needed to compete the circuit by combination of gaffer tape and finger, whilst singing it. This could have been a disaster. There's always spanner in the works somewhere. The cover was completed this afternoon on October 2nd.
