ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
An absolute nightmare to record, play, produce, promote, everything about it was a nightmare. Nightmare Zanoo Zah. I still love some of it though. Russell Murray- December 2011

METAL HAMMER

WILDERNESS HUNTING AND SWEET CINEMATIC CONFUSION
This album does not grab you upon first listen. But like perfume it weans you back for another listen, until you are engrossed in a left eager to investigate it's origins. For a start 'who or what on earth is Mooza Zanoo Zah?'. Or maybe we're not supposed to know...However it turns out to be a pet name for a trophy Moose head and appears to be the butt of various psychedelic endorsements from non other than a certain Dr Hunter S. Thompson. At times evoking madness and surrealism at equal intervals between a mountain of material from various collaborations & encounters in Edinburgh's underground music scene, during Fringe Festivities and various wild parties. Many of which are depicted here. Rocket Baby being a polite example. The audience pleasing attention to detail and the foreboding humour will help keep this spectacular find for an unsuspecting Avant-garde collector. This is wacky stuff.
