Album Notes
Rusty Monks is the long time project of singer/songwriter Housecatnick, a seasoned NYC performer and artist. A blend of many music genres, the music continually grooves with melodic hooks from the horn lines and the solid rhythm section. The strength of the lrycal narratives draws from personal insight, Housecatnick's healthy relationship with biting humor and honest observations. With a blend of Blues, Jazz, Funk, Rock and Latin Music, Rusty Monks creates a sound that is everything yet stands alone.

"What do you call the Rusty Monks? Jam Band? Blues Band? Rock Band? Well the Monks are all of those with a touch of Jazz to round out their sound. A great live band doing well written original material. Club owners, book them when you can. Music lovers, catch them when you can. Just be prepared to want more Rusty Monks, whatever you may call them!" ~ John J. Cooper, Host/Producer of "Jazz From the Hub" WRSU-FM, New Brunswick, NJ online @
