ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Critics have describes Salt Peter as "...fearless experimenters in rhythm and sound textures..evoking that ol' magic found in Sabbath or Zeppelin" and "...that rare modern rock entity capable of blending style and substance into an infinitely pleasing whole." "ameraka" is Love Canal Entertainment's 2012 release, the long awaited follow up to Salt Peter's NaNO3. This collection of recordings runs like a mixed tape....through genres, feels and subject matters like a Beatles, Waits or Beasties record yet holds to the promise of chameleon like guitar playing, vocals, sample use and a rhythm section built of steel. Tongue and cheek humor runs through the more serious central theme of what guitarist Aversa describes as "...the despair felt by people living in a country that's been hijacked by businessmen." Musically you can continue to expect the unexpected throughout this eleven song effort. It includes the single from the award winning video "Funky Magazine," the chronicles of a betrayed Bills fan entitled "Buffalo Orange Juice," and other songs with credits ranging from Beelzebub himself to Krishnamurti to Stephen Hawking. Give this record the maximum volume it deserves and enjoy the wild ride.
