Album Notes
Sarah Lawrence is enjoying a widely varied career. Her expanding repertoire includes oratorio, operetta, opera and musical theatre. The release of her first CD, Sweet Hello, marks her debut as a recording artist.

Sarah is currently appearing as Christine Daae in the Third National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera. The company recently spent two months performing in the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. While they were there, Sarah recorded her first album, Sweet Hello. The CD includes favorites from musical theatre and operetta as well as other gems, and it tells a sweet story. From the first quiet moments of wondering in “What Will It Be For Me?” from Regina, to the impatience of “Show Me” from My Fair Lady, to the romance of “And This Is My Beloved” from Kismet (sung with her husband, Cal Metts, who appears on three more tracks), this is truly a story about dreams coming true.

Most of the tracks feature new arrangements by Sarah’s college friend,Boston-based composer John Paulson. The arrangements start with just a few instruments and grow to a nine-piece ensemble as the story unfolds. His take on classics like "Yes, My Heart" fits her voice and the optimistic mood perfectly.

Sweet Hello
It is impossible for Sarah Lawrence to do anything less than perfectly. She is the most amazingly talented person I have ever known. I can't get enough of her music.

This is a fantastic album. The music is fun and original. The sound of Sarah’s voice is an absolute treat. Truly great music to enjoy during your day. I could listen to her sing all day long.

There are some good songs----she obviously is an accomplished opera and operetta singer....but the musical theater selections don't ring as true and her vibrato doesn't fit some of the classic Broadway song styles. The best song: All I Ask of You.

Sweet Hello
Sweet Hello is Delightful!Sarah's voice has a beautiful, clear quality. The order of the song selections presents a charming story of anticipated love. The strong baritone of Calland Metts adds additional enjoyment. I especially enjoyed the playfulness of "I Least Expect You Now"
So Refreshing!

Sweet Hello
Sarah has brought me to tears in her performance as Christine in POTO and now she brings me to tears with her beautiful CD. What a beautiful voice, so full of emotion. Thanks Sarah!

So lovely
Ms. Lawrence has such a magnificent voice; we are glad she has made this CD; it's high time her talent be showcased in this way. Sweet Hello offers a nice mix of classic show tunes with fun, modern material. It's really hard to select a favorite track from this CD, because we have several faves. Another terrific feature on Sweet Hello are the duets with baritone Calland Metts.

Sweet Indeed!
You must get this album! It is one of the most joyous and perfect things you'll hear. What a treasure to have the ability to hear angels sing. This album is amazing!

Well, I could listen to her beautiful, easily produced voice all day. But aside from that, the arrangements are unique and her choice of songs a pleasure. I highly recommend this first album.
