Album Notes
Greg Schuler's debut album, "Said And Done" is a trip through various sub-genres of adult-contemporary pop songs. Schuler's keyboards and vocals are wrapped up nicely in a swirl of drums, guitars and bass. Then it's sprinkled with horns, drum machines, loops and saxophone! It's not a funk album. It's not a jazz album. It's not a party album. It's not a mellow, "Sunday-morning" album. It is, however, a combination of all these things that make this album stand out on its own.
Lush arrangements filled with layer upon layer of instrumentation fills the tracks of Greg Schuler's new CD, "Said and Done". Schuler also proves to be a pretty talented tour de force on his debut producing, arranging, engineering, mixing, writing and performing all the songs with the help of some select musical partners.

Mainly built around Schuler's array of keyboard sounds and programming, the songs are then subjected to some fine accompaniment from everything from electric and acoustic guitars, upright bass and saxophone, to trumpet, trombone, drums and well orchestrated lead and backing vocals. The outcome bursts with a contemporary R&B flair that rivals the sounds of Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire and Tears For Fears.

Crows pleasers include "Everlasting Love," "Stay By My Side," "Let You Down" and "Band-Aid For A Broken Heart." - Douglas Sloan

Connecticut native, Greg Schuler played in front of his first audience only a few months after he began learning to play the piano. "My voice was my first instrument. I didn't want to rely on other people to accompany me when I was singing. A friend of mine started playing guitar, so I decided to teach myself piano so we could put a band together." At the age of 12, Schuler learned to play on a portable Casio keyboard, and was highly interested in programming and recording music.

After studying music and recording at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, Schuler relocated to Sydney, Australia where he studied at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music. There, he worked toward a degree in music education, studying classical theory and was vocally trained in opera. "The classical thing was fun. We were expected to perform twice a semester dressed in a suit and tie. Each time we performed, we had to perform two pieces. Before I was finished at the Conservatorium, I had talked the vocal chairwoman into letting me perform one classical piece and one popular song during these concerts. The person before me played a beautiful violin piece accompanied by a pianist, then I would come out with a drummer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, two backing vocalists and a horn section! The older students didn't know what to make of me." Greg was also chosen to sing with the Sydney Conservatorium Chorale, a select group of vocalists given opportunities to record at the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Company) studios and perform with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in the world famous Sydney Opera House.

After almost three years living down under, Schuler returned to the United States to study music synthesis, music production and engineering at Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2000, Greg started Schuler Productions, a recording studio located in Framingham, Massachusetts. When Greg isn't working on other people's music he works on his own music. In January 2005 Schuler will be releasing his debut album entitled "Said And Done". The remainder of 2005 will be devoted to live performances supporting the CD and continuing to operate his recording studio.

Greg Schuler's Said and Done is FABULOUS!
Said and Done is a nice combination of easy listening, groovy, pop, and toe tapping songs. With the keyboards and horns, the melodies are great for singing along in the office, the car, or at home. Nice variety of selections. Great quality of sound. Simply fabulous. New York welcomes you!
