ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Songs become like children. I think most of us eventually make peace even with the clumsy ones. There are 18 tunes on the Roses CD, stories around a story, tunes that I couldn’t bear watching fall by the wayside, to sit silent and orphaned in some dusty catalogue. These songs are from many different times and places, a wide spectrum of styles and colors. Somehow, the work as a whole seems to manage to hang together, in spite or perhaps because of the diversity in it. Thanks for listening...
