_______________________________ ALBUM REVIEWS ____________________________________

"New York–based songwriter Scott Alan knows how to write a Broadway power ballad (as he does with much success on the songs “Not Quite Ready Yet to Grieve” and “Anything Worth Holding on To”). But he’s also a master lyricist, and the songs span genre and emotion (“I Wish,” sung by Idol alum Diana DeGarmo here, is easily one of the collection’s most earnestly perky tunes, while “Over the Mountains, as sung by Bobby Steggert, packs a heavy emotional wallop) and linger long after they finish. On this, his third collection of tunes, Alan is at his most confident and establishes himself as a songwriter to keep your eye on."

Amazing!!!!!
Wow, this CD is just amazing! Scott Alan does such an amazing job writing heartfelt and honest music. Each song seems to fit every performer perfectly. The range from musical theater to pop to gospel, it all flows and fits any mood you have! Such a great 3rd CD - possibly the best yet! Get it immediately - you will not be disappointed!

Amazing... Of Course
I've been eagerly awaiting this CD for just about two years (around the same time I knew every single word from Keys, the previous album, by heart). With this CD, Scott doesn't disappoint (and has yet to - ever - I should add). Through various concerts, most of the songs on this CD have already been exposed to his audience (though most by other artists), but it's still an amazing experience to hear them again. Quite a few of these songs are... bouncy is probably a good choice (very different from Keys), and 'Easy' is easily my new favorite (no pun intended), especially since I'd never heard it before. 'Over the Mountains' and 'Take Me Away' were both performed by their same respective artists at Scott's last NYC concert, and it's wonderful to hear them again on a professional recording. Every single song (look for a hidden track!) is simply wonderful.

Genius
This is a perfectly balanced collection of heart-warming, inspiring, masterfully written music. If I had to categorize the music, I would say it leans theater/pop although I think it is in a class of itself. The melodies are captivating and the lyrics are possibly the most honest and heartfelt I have heard. The performers are each so perfectly suited to the song. This has become my most listened to cd in my collection. I am just as impressed with Scott Alan's other cd's, all winners! Buy them all, you won't be disappointed!
