Shawn "Dimples" Miller (formerly Austin)
Many people sing in the shower, in the rain while listening to the radio, and even aloud walking down the street.
Yet while performing live since the age of 9 Ms. Shawn "Dimples" Miller has received numerous awards in music and in musical performances. She has flaunted her talents at the family benefit concert with sponsors such as Hot 97, Island Records, Motown Records and East/West Records, among others held at Bryant High School. Performing in the New York City area at such clubs as Cafe Wha, Groove, The Village Underground and many more. She is a weathered artist that has performed on the same bill with such artists as: Faith Evans, Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills, Alicia Keys, Cheryl "Pepsi" Riley, Carl Thomas and many more. She most recently had the opportunity to open for Anthony Hamilton at the Apollo Theater in N.Y.C., sponsored by Coca-Cola and Essence.
"A Sweet Taste of Something Different!"
When I first heard the song "Shy Guy" it was like an alarm went off. This song gave me a sort of "back in the day", straight forward, down home "what" type of attitude. "Sorry Man of Mine" shows the full range and capability of the singer/songwriters ability to go through the roof in the entertainment industry. The song "Better Days" is just a taste of what is to come from this most humble talented artist. "Dimples" brings you a renewed sense of respectable old fashioned values with inspirational messages that gives you peace of mind, equanimity, and uplifts your spirits with a moderate dose of sensuality. Something in which the music industry needs to recapture. You can categorize her with such artists as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Deborah Cox, Christina Aguliera, and even Jill Scott, but the matured vibe, lyrics, and sound Ms. Miller brings to the table is "A Totally Incredible Sweet Taste of Something Different" and can be compared to no other! Her music is a vision of freedom with a "let it all hang out" mentality. Music any young or middle aged man and woman can vibe to and listen to together. It can make you want to run outside and scream to the top of your lungs as if you were letting loose the anger within, if your mental is in the right mode. As if you were "Waiting to Exhale" if it's in either joy or sorrow. It seems evident to me that Shawn "Dimples" Miller is an artist/songwriter that's on the rise as long as theirs always an occasion to blow her horn.
