ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sean started playing guitar at age 14.....It only took a few months of lessons for him to realize that he wanted to write and perform music. His strong influences are The Who, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews,Our Lady Peace. Sean got some of his inspiration from movie soundtracks and themes. He wrote his first song at age 16. All of his friends were already in bands with the exception of one. Sean tried to work with him but he was not willing to let him play his material. He decided to form his his own band. He played local clubs and got great response. Sean's goal is to change people's lives through his music the way he was changed and inspird by his role models. He hopes that his songs will help people with their problems, or give them a sense of community.

The Next Big Thing
Sean Austin's debut EP features 5 strong tracks that are all future FM hits while most rock artists today release full length albums with only one or two singles. Such a strong showing for the first time around should not be dismissed. One listen shows the strong production and musicianship that is typically only characteristic of major label acts. It is truly an amazing feat for an independent, unsigned artist to accomplish a sound that is so much better than what's on the current market.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this EP is Sean's key role in writing the guitar, bass, and drum arrangements. In addition, he also works closely with his producers to furnish a drum sound that stands out from the competition. This EP should be played at full blast while driving from Santa Monica all the way through the town lines surpassing Malibu Beach. This disc is definitely worth the investment.

Excellent CD. I bought it for my dauther who has been inspired by his music. His songs seem to come from the heart. I don't think I've heard a song of his I don't like. I hope we hear more from him!
