Album Notes
Self Taught, as their name implies, crafts their music utilizing only the skills of its three members. This includes production of all of the beats, writing of all the lyrics, recording of all the songs, mixing and mastering, album artwork and music videos. Everything on the Feast of Fools album was done by one of us and all of those skills were Self Taught.

In the early 2000’s Cliff was starting to dabble in producing off-time garbage beats and Vintage downloaded Cool Edit Pro off of a Warez site and was throwing down vocals with a radio shack mic. Neither of them was privy to each others dopeness until a mutual friend connected the pieces together over MSN Messenger (RIP).

Over the next five years the two of them actually developed some skill and ultimately released their first album, Arrival, in 2007. From that point on they were lukewarm shit (almost hot shit) amongst their circle of friends and Jay Rod caught word of the good goodness that was happening with Self Taught.

Jay Rod kept bugging us about his crooning abilities and how he could sing the panties off of any woman over 40 who was hanging out at the Mosquito Creek Bar and Grill. He proved that to be true and we started making songs with him for the next few years until we realized that he was pretty much part of the group. We made it official and since then the group is as we know it today.

Contented to hear these cats continue to make music true to themselves. Production is stunning when you consider that they produce, mix, and master their own content. Favored tracks include: Potpourri and No fear.
Keep that sh!t crispy.
