ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
That distinguished gentleman of sun and song is back… Sergio in Acapulco returns with Holiday, a Latin-flavored collection of swanky, retro-meets-modern grooves and Bossa beats to create the ideal soundtrack for the hippest of cocktail shindigs or a ritzy international affair. Seventeen new tunes featuring top of the groove production including the always lovely and talented Calamari and Carita on vocals on a handful of the tracks. We've even got some neo soul blasting with Louise and some Swing Out Sister stylings on I Can't Wait, and of course the four on the floor groove of Shade Oasis for your dancing pleasure.

He’s back… that super suave, Bossa Nova dude Sergio… in Acapulco! Get ready for more swanky, musical cocktails of retro-meets-modern grooves on his 4th album to date, HOLIDAY. Dip into your stash of cash, pack your Bermudas, mount your Vespa, toss your scarf back and let the vacation roll with 17 new tracks featuring long time friends, vocalists Calamari and Carita, plus a blissful handful of jazz musicians who share an equal passion for sambas and lounging. HOLIDAY captures the true essence of travel as only Sergio can, with sweet abandonment and delightful indulgence. The brainchild of John Foster, the Sergio In Acapulco series is an absolute favorite of ours… HOLIDAY is icing on the cake with great new, originals plus a cool cover of “Suavecito.” OMGuacamole! I thank my lucky stars for the moment Sergio left the record switch turned and captured those wild nights of South of the Borderliciousness.
