Chime Child

by Serundal

Like a medieval riddle this album twists and turns towards its conclusion through haunting, melancholic, spine-chilling melodies to pounding up tempo drum beats. Emotionally it may break your heart, then fill you with hope and joy. For everyone who once felt lost but are now 'Coming Home.'

Album Notes
Concluding the album trilogy of 'Ab Initi' and 'The Land of the Sixth Moon', 'Chime Child' (in Celtic mythology a child blessed with second sight) is the musical equivalent of a rare and wonderful gift. The travellers they have gathered along the way have all agreed to form an army to face the ultimate danger and defeat the mighty Keening. Every one of them has known loss, and for such a sacrifice their reward will be to have that loss restored to them. Protected by a talisman, the figurehead Princess Serena guides them as they make their way on a pilgrimage to the solstice at Stonehenge, to a ruined priory, and to the desolate lands of the Highland clearances. Even criminals take the pledge to become Knights Templar and join them in the quest. Will they be enough to defeat such evil? Perhaps not. But nothing is impossible. Sometimes even the smallest can be the strongest...

You are a gifted songwriter. Love the blend of Ethereal and Celtic- and nice vocals.
