Formed in January of 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria, SEVI are Svetlana Bliznakova - SEVI (on vocals) and Rally Velinov (bass)
Original lineup also includes guitarist Bobby Zasheff, keyboardist Tania Apostolova and drummer Pavlin Ivanov.
The original, soft rock, style of the band impressed the public and media early on and SEVI songs quickly found their way to the radio airwaves and gained exposure via TV shows.
As of January 2010, all SEVI songs that were played on Bulgarian National Radio have a permanent home in the radio's “Golden Archives”
In November 2010, SEVI won first place at the SONIC B.A.N.G. Award for the their song “Fighter For Happiness,” beating out 78 song submissions in the process!
“Can't Stand The Pain”, was SEVI's first official single, released in June 2011. The song's video found its way around the world, SEVI being chosen as Band of The Week by a radio station in Lima (Peru), and at home in Bulgaria, the video was played in movie theaters, giving spectators a breath of fresh air between the annoying commercials and movie announcements.
The Summer of 2011 found SEVI on the road, as the band played a string of club gigs, as well as open air festivals. Most notably at the International Festival at Belozem, where the band won a “Special Award” recognition.
On the quite symmetrical date of November 11th, 2011 (11/11/11) SEVI unveiled the video to their second single “Limited Edition.” - a song that has become an anthem with SEVI fans – Sevilnite.
2011 saw SEVI (Svetlana) herself, collaborate with a number of musicians – Jimi Sobara, Michael Paev, Zyggie (RU), Sugar DJs, DJ Katzarov, and Project Arcadia, to name a few.
In June 2012, SEVI celebrated the release of their debut album “What Lies Beyond” with a phenomenal Pirate-themed stage show. They took the concept on the road, all the way to Italy and back.
Their third video single “Victim” was unveiled in November of 2012.
