Sexy Heroes In Transit started playing as a three piece in November of 2004.
After playing locally for about a year and a half, the band decided to get serious with their music and make a career out of it.
Nick Everett joined in January of 2007 to add a second guitar and additional backup vocals.
The band has since created a new style of music which they have labelled HaPunk.
HaPunk is described as happy, upbeat punk rock with absurd lyrics about everyday things and everyday people.
Another staple of the band, besides their catchy tunes and highly engaging live performances, is their signature yellow pants, as alluded to in the title of their latest EP, It’s All In The Pants.
Among their accomplishments, Sexy Heroes In Transit has released two albums, an EP, and played a variety of venues around New York City and New Jersey.
Their second album, Penguin Airlines, sold more than 1,000 copies independently in the first two weeks of release.
Sexy Heroes often get commissioned to write custom songs for people and business’ alike.
In July 2006, Sexy Heroes played in the NY finals of the international Emergenza festival, placing 3rd out of 160 bands.
In May of 2007 the band won a battle of the bands sponsored by Concerts First.
