LYRICS
Well, my life is changing at break-neck speed again
Getting harder and harder to keep it all together
People want what they want when they want it, perpetual spin
I'm pulling a thousand miles a minute, and it ain't gonna get better
Said I'm pulled in a thousand different directions, and it ain't getting any better, no
These are the times when a ticket to Anywhere sounds so nice
Pack an overnight bag and throw it in the backseat next to the dog and drive
Go to the beach, or to the mountains; destination:Unknown
It's about time to
Just Go

This just in: my boyfriend's feeling "neglected"
And my part-time job is flexing its full-time weight
If this is the price I pay for being a struggling artist
Well then maybe the bill collectors might give me a little bit more of a break
No but the bill collectors ain't trying to give me no break

But these are the times when a one-way ticket just sounds so sweet
Pack a carry-on bag and throw it in the overhead and find me a window seat
Go to the beach, or to the mountains; destination: Unknown
It's about time to
Just Go

I loaned my GPS to my friend
I guess that means I'm driving 'til the road ends
Until the road ends

These are the times when a personal day just won't do
These are the times when you give 'em two fingers
And do what you wanna do

These are the times when a ticket to Anywhere sounds so nice
Pack an overnight bag and throw it in the backseat next to the dog and drive
Go to the beach, or to the mountains; destination:Unknown

These are the times when a one-way ticket just sounds so sweet
Pack a carry-on bag and throw it in the overhead and find me a window seat
Go to the beach, or to the mountains; destination: Unknown

These are the times, these are the times, these are the times
It's about time to
Just Go

ABOUT SHANA TUCKER
What is it that makes Shana Tucker's so unique, yet simultaneously familiar? Perhaps it's her inherent ability to bring lyrics to life, painting melodic pictures of a delicate dance of cello and voice. Shana's songs celebrate the major influences of everyday life: love, loss, rediscovery, and the relentless journey towards peace and understanding -- of others...of Self.

Transcending genre distinctions, Shana Tucker is a "ChamberSoul" cellist and singer/songwriter whose music is a sultry pastiche of acoustic pop and soulful, jazz-influenced contemporary folk. "It’s different, yet comfortably familiar...I love 80's music and I'm a sucker for jazz. Many of the grooves have a bossa-nova/latin heartbeat, translated through percussive vocal phrasing. I can't deny the classical training; it inspires my cello sensibilities...but I like the thump of walking blues & old-timey bass lines. It's like a delicious coffee blend: bold and robust, with subtle undertones of bittersweet...and something you can't quite place, but it's still good!" she says with a smile.

Shana balances her indie artist career with another excellent gig: as cellist and mezzo-soprano for KÀ, the unprecedented, gravity-defying production by Cirque du Soleil at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. KÀ is a heroic journey of love and conflict, set within a dynamic theatrical landscape, as an entire empire appears on KÀ's colossal stage and a captivating display of acrobatics envelops the audience.

From the very first act, you'll hear Shana's voice float into your ears, with cello punctuating and surrounding you as the story unfolds. KÀ's musical ensemble is comprised of two sopranos; cello; accordian; guitar; and full rhythm section (two keyboards, bass, drums). The world-class musicians all bring decades of superior industry experience to the show and, like Shana does in addition to KÀ, stay busy with various creative projects throughout the year.
