The Queen Is Back Indeed!
I've been a fan of Shannon's since the Fall of '83. I always enjoyed her music and especially some of her downtempo songs such as "Right Track." After receiving and listening to this much anticipated CD I am very happy to say that I am thrilled with it. The collaboration with the new producers, writers, etc. has paid off beautifully in production, quality and with her delivery of the songs. Her voice sounds great and nicely suited for this genre. As a long time fan I am proud of Shannon's ongoing creative growth. The Queen is back!!!

Welcome back, Shannon.
Very nicely done. I like this CD a whole lot.

The music is still playin'
What can I say, its been worth the wait, not as sold out pop as the likes of Beyonce but the beauty does return in true, soulful, street styled hip hop soul, kind of like a mature Mary J Blige with jazzy tips, already doing some underground business here in good old blighty. If you keep it playing you here a snippet of an interview and an electric guitar solo, why I don't know - they could have put a couple of remixes on instead. Get it or your life is worthless!

Very strong urban-contemporary fare with a funky twist!
Shannon makes a most-welcome and surprisingly hip return with this, her first new album in seven years. The CD has a nice flow, with highlights being the relaxing groove of "Afterwork Party"; the hook-laden "Don't Be Afraid"; and an understated rendition of the Human League classic "Human." The beats throughout are solid, and Shannon's distinctive, laidback vocal tones provide a unique delivery that is refreshingly different from the competition. While the material and overall sound is a far cry from the electro-dance mode of her biggest hits, it's cool to see that she can stretch and do something different -- and do it well!

Show the younguns how it's done!
Very fresh, funky, and definitely worth the wait. The beats are great and very "danceable."

New sound, same great voice, excellent project!
I think Shannon and the producers of this latest CD have done a terrific job changing her style of music and keeping with the times. There's no filler on this project whatsoever, but just really good quality material. Shannon sounds wonderful as always. Highly recommended to any Shannon fan!

Let The Music Play... Again!
SHANNON Continues to let the music play and this is what we love about this 80s dance diva! I personally have met her and seen her perform live and she does quite a show. Her trademark "Wonder Woman Cape" is something you will not forget! This new album takes Shannon into a new direction, not as freestyle / Dance as what you may be used to, but thats ok...Shannons changes with the times and this album is great for those who are into R&B / Urban vibes. Enjoy and keep the music playing!
