ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
**CD baby now carries signed copies of Sharla's CD**

Shore is an appropriate last name for Sharla. For 30+ years, Sharla spent her life surfing and sporting along the shores of Southern California. Sharla is in tune to the ebb and flow of these shores on which she grew.

Sharla is no stranger to the stage. She had her first taste of the stage at age 5, performing in a ballet and singing for an audience of loving parents and friends. Throughout all of school, Sharla was always a member of select choruses and traveled and sang with them. She sang her first solo (an original) at the age of 16 to a crowded auditorium of 400+; the response was overwhelmingly positive for Sharla . This was the beginning of her music-writing career.

During the next 20 years, Sharla was having fun playing coffee houses, private parties and weddings. But she knew there was something else out there for her. At 36 Sharla had met someone on The East coast and decided to move to the greater Washington D.C. area. There, Sharla had the opportunity to perform in front of large crowds exceeding 20,000. And again, the response was very positive. At this time she had no material to market and wanted to begin recording.

It wasn't until she moved to Arizona 2 years later, that Sharla finally was able to make this dream come true. Sharla sought out a local producer and began to lay down the tracks to "The Road Of Life" Her first CD and not her last.

Sharla Shore finds her inspiration from many sources. One reason for writing her music is the environment. "I think it's part of my mission here in life to help heal the Earth and the people on it. I want to help raise awareness of this. This is the only Earth we have. We must take care of it."

But Sharla's musical mission doesn't end with the environment. She also wants to help people take control of their lives. Her approach to love and relationships reflects her experience as a surfer. " I write songs to take action. It is not my style to write songs complaining about love or situations people are in. I say, if you're not happy, do something about it."

Just as a surfer she would not let a wipe out get the best of her, Sharla refuses to play the victim and opts to take control of her life.

The realistic approach to life Sharla Shore exhibits keeps audiences entertained and touched. Playing in front of thousands of people or entertaining a handful in a coffee shop, Sharla's passion for her art captures those who come in contact with her.
