ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anne & Pete Sibley love to get right to the heart of their audience. For them it is about the vocals, the words, the harmonies. Accompanied on guitar and banjo theirs is a traditional yet original sound. They have been inspired by duet performers like Tim & Mollie O’Brien, and Gillian Welch & David Rawlins.

Anne’s powerful vocals and songwriting paired with Pete’s solid guitar, melodic clawhammer banjo playing and harmonies highlight their latest CD. They've spent the past few years introducing their music at festivals in the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest, opening for Willie Nelson and as in-studio guests on community radio stations. They are grateful for the opportunity to share their original and traditional music.

“Anne & Pete Sibley offer some of the best duo harmonies around...their mix of original songs and traditional favorites bring back the good old days. The sweet blend of their voices will bring a smile to your face... and if your ears could smile they would be grinning too! Anne & Pete are wonderful to work with and would be a positive addition to any festival or venue lineup. I recommend them without reservation -George Gertz, North Fork Valley Bluegrass Festival Coordinator

“Anne & Pete Sibley are quickly becoming the West’s favorite duo -Ken Seaman, The Bluegrass Patriots and MidWinter Bluegrass

Outstanding
I was priveleged to hear Anne and Pete singing at this years Four Corners Folk Festival in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and their performance was amazing! I love this CD and was happy to find it on the CD Baby site.

Be the first to tell your friends about the Sibleys!
This is their best CD yet! All of the original songs are wonderful and heart-felt. Anne's voice is like an angel's and the harmonies are just so good to listen to. I love their rendition of Rock Salt & Nails. Can't get Rooster Call out of my head.

It's just a matter of time before these two make it big - be the first to get this CD and share it with your friends.

I heard a song from this album on the radio. I found out who the performers were by searching for some of the lyrics on Google. I found the CD Baby site, and listened to all of the sample songs from this CD on the website. Every song was outstanding. I will probably burn the CD out listening to it so often. I'm recommending it to friends.

Great combination
Great combination of old timey and "new timey" music. Great voice, excellent instrumentals. There's hope for the generation of future musicians!

A Great Couple. A Great Gift
Our veterinarian, Leann Pape, enjoys music and recommended the Sibleys. We sent the album to our daughter, who lives in Jackson, Wyoming. "Dad, I've heard them in person. They're great," she said, "And the album is perfect. My boyfriend is ordering another copy to send to his sister." Everyone's happy, and this Sibley album made it so.

Less is Definitely More...
I barely caught the tail end of Anne and Pete's performance at last summer's Bluewaters Bluegrass Festival in Washington state... thought they were pretty good, but didn't get to hear enough to make me think much more about them. Then just a few weeks ago I was checking out my sister Brenda Hanson's new web page here at CDbaby.com--she has an excellent recording BTW--and the Sibley CD was linked to Brenda's page. Having heard them before, I decided to check out their samples, and after just one song I knew I HAD to have the CD. Their music proves the statement that "sometimes less is more." It amazes me that such a full sound comes from just two voices accompanied by one or two instruments--truly an acoustic treat.

The Best! My kind of music.

Wonderful music, wonderful delivery, this is music that nourishes the soul.
Will You Walk With Me is a treat to listen to. Anne and Pete deliver acoustic music that is both sweet and satisfying. The song choices, both the originals and covers, are superb and seem at home with one another. Especially noteworthy are the title cut and the ethereal ballad, In the Twilight. With Anne's unnassuming yet strong vocals and Pete's complimentary harmonies, they are making music that is not only worth listening to but brings something filling to the table.
