ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Silly Stevie T. loves music, so he encourages his children to listen and enjoy as well. One day, he was laughing with pride as he watched his seven-year old daughter sing along with a song on the radio. Suddenly, his pleasure was destroyed as he tuned his mind to the lyrics and realized exactly what his little girl was singing. Something like, "back it up baby, let me see what'cha got".

As Silly Stevie T. paid more attention to the words assaulting his children, he realized many of them were only appropriate for listeners above eighteen, and some still questionable even then. Sex, drugs, alcohol, and violence have all become commonplace in today's society, but that doesn't mean we have to subject our children to them before they are mentally and emotionally prepared.

Silly Stevie T. began searching for kid's music, but he quickly encountered a large collection of songs his children just would not listen to, or songs that most adults just could not endure. Teaching songs, preschool songs, and poor-quality productions abounded. Silly Stevie T. was having trouble finding what seemed like a simple request: rock and roll songs that sound like the radio but have words made for kids.

Shortly thereafter, Silly Stevie T. decided to create some of his own songs that fit this bill. The title of his first collection, Kids Just Want To Have Fun!, conveys the spirit and feeling of the songs. Several of the tunes are simple fun with sounds or wordplay, while others try to capture a view of life from the child’s perspective. With this album, Silly Stevie T. is hoping to give parents and children an alternative that will allow them to enjoy music without frustration or fear of exposure to adult topics.

Hard rock music with kid friendly lyrics
Silly Stevie T (SST) takes kids music to the next level. This CD is a significant departure from conventional kids music. SST uses a hard rock music style with family friendly lyrics to make kids songs the family can listen to. Some of the songs are funny, some are a little twisted and a few cover items such as smoking and the boogie monster. I found SST's music to be very unique and fresh while taking on kids (and parents) concerns. I would recomend this album for kids 8 years and older.

Hilarious!
All my son sings is "Grandpa pull my Finger!!!" It's hilarious!

Definitely Very Original
I listened to your CD the other day on my way home. It's not what I expected from a children's CD, a little more hard core, definitely very original. You just might have a winner with the 7 and up crowd. Nice work.

Bing, Bing, Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Silly Stevie T. My Dad got this CD for me to Play after he heard some of the stuff I was listening to in my room one day (He didn't like the words I was hearing) . I really didn't understand most of the lyrics written by them other guys, I just like the music. With your Cd I can follow the words with the music and its really funny! It is my favorite. Pull my Finger

Fun songs with real Rock & Roll
It's great to have a CD that has lyrics that are acceptable for all kids, big and little, paired with music that is real Rock & Roll instead of Barney the Purple Dinosaur music.
