ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Silvan Zingg, called by the international press “the Boogie Woogie ambassador from Switzerland”, is rated as one of today’s finest boogie woogie and blues piano players. The critics describe him as an exceptional pianist, impressive by his technique and his cheerful enthusiasm. “Silvan plays as if he were from St. Louis – he could be my blues brother!” said Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Chuck Berry enthusiastically about his pianist.

Influenced by vintage recordings of black pianists, he started to play the piano in early childhood. Silvan has played in over 30 countries up to now (Europe, America, Asia, Middle East). His style mixes fat grooves, swing with incredible virtuosity. He plays lively boogie-woogie, sensitive blues and classic jazz.

Silvan appeared and performed on stage with legends like Chuck Berry, Kathie Webster, Sammy Price, Memphis Slim, Champion Jack Dupree, Tito Jackson, Pinetop Perkins and many more. In summer 2011, he performed at the worldfamous Montreux Jazz Festival as Special Guest of .B. King.
