ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Music for ‘The Man Outside’ was composed for solo piano in 1992 as incidental music for an English production of the play ‘Draußen vor der Tür’ written in 1946 by Wolfgang Borchert. The play was presented by Academy Productions and directed by Andy Lavender. The performances took place at The Green Room, Manchester, (in association with the Manchester International Festival of Expressionism), 16th - 17th March 1992, and at Chelsea Centre Theatre, London, 27th May - 13th June 1992. The final track 'Epilogue' was written in 2012 after preparing the rest of the music for release, and was composed as a bonus track.
