The sounds of the gong as performed by Siri Bahadur and John Pitale begin gently and flow like waves, in turn caressing and crashing upon the beach of your senses. Siri B. and John have been playing the gongs as instruments of awareness enhancement for as many 15 years or longer.
Siri Bahadur uses the music of guitar and voice while teaching Kundalini Yoga sessions and often ends his sessions by playing the symphonic gong. The intention is to aid in the integration of the effects of the class as well as enhancing those effects. This is done by the ability of those gong sounds to more completely release the mental perspective of the moment and more thoroughly adjust the nervous system in order to achieve deep relaxation.
John provides percussion for his musical group Liquid Casing. He is a drummer for the group and since he discovered the sound of the gong years ago, his offering of percussive contributions has changed considerably. He uses new and innovative striking techniques and has created an inventive approach to inviting symphonic gong tones to create a vast array of sound colors. Since different people respond in various ways to sound, varying techniques provide something for more listeners to enjoy.
All of that said, Siri Bahadur and John have created a sound scape of meditative experience which is unique and pleasant. They take a care to blend their techniques and offer an inroad into a personal journey of Self discovery and sonic enrichment.
