ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tehzeeb Foundation's 2-day Sitar Festival was first of its kind in the history of Pakistan.
It was meant to explore possibilities of sitar, the most well known eastern instrument in the world. This compilation features senior-most sitarists such as the phenomenal Ustad Rais Khan as well as the younger artistes from Pakistan, Germany and the UK displaying and exploring the nuances of South Asian classical music as per their own style and diction. Ashraf Sharif Khan's 'Raag Darbari' spread over slightly less than an hour, in 2 tracks, should be a treat for connoisseurs of the Indian classical music!
