Sky-Pony's RAPTURED (LIVE) is a mini-album of 7 songs -- well, more like 6 and an interlude -- from a concert-theater hybrid experience performed on three nights in October 2012. It was produced by NYC's Play Company and directed by Peter Cook. Songs were recorded live and mixed by Dave Sanderson. Album cover art by Chris and Quin Krovatin.
Sky-Pony is a Brooklyn-based band that serves up lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. They incorporate costumes, choreography and projections into their high-energy live shows. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say. It's a collaboration between singer/actress Lauren Worsham and her musician/writer husband Kyle Jarrow, also featuring the sizable talents of guitarist Kevin Wunderlich, drummer Perry Silver, bassist Eric Day, cellist David Blasher, and backup singers Jessi Suzuki and Megan Stern.
