ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Slither in Exile is a five piece metal band playing out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, who are enjoying success after their 2007 release “Death Dealer.” A CD which shows some of the bands many influences and talents. It reveals the beginning of a sound crafted over 4 years of continuous playing and hard work. In the summer of 2003, Dave Runions (lead guitar) and Noel Schroeder (rhythm guitar), two high school friends, began
jamming together and quickly met up with Mike Dube (vocals). Together the three, with the help of other school friends on drum and bass, began writing and developing a sound that would eventually evolve into the core of the band today. Hooking up with out of town skinsman Mike Arsenault from Moncton N.B, in 2005, Slither in Exile became one of the few bands playing in an up and coming metal scene in the Calgary area. Surprisingly being asked to play with “Quiet Riot” on their third show. With piles of gigs under their belts, playing in Calgary and the surrounding areas, S.I.X. built a solid fan base and a strong following. In 2007 they hooked up with local producer Rob Davies, also from local punk band Deville fame, and record “Death Dealer,” a seven song L.P. resembling the likes of Megadeth, G’N’R, and Pantera. After going through numerous members on bass, they finally find the missing piece of the puzzle in their long-time friend, Orion, joining the band near the end of recording and solidifying the bands line-up. With a new record out the boys are looking forward to touring, promoting, writing, and working on the new CD to be out in 2008. Look out for Slither In Exile, as they hope to be making their mark in the near future.
