ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Severe, born Tre Eckles on December 27, 1978 in Fort Pierce, Florida, is not just a rapper or an artist, HE IS A M.C. Severe is a writer and a artist who poses the ability to grab the attention of any hip hop music lover. Severe began writing at age 13 and rapping at age 15. At the same time he was constantly in and out of trouble. Coming up in Fort Pierce, Florida was a test to say the least. Severe was determined to pass!!!l He continued putting his thoughts and energy on paper. In an effort to test his skills , a friend suggested he enter a freestyle battle. Severe entered the “Un-signed Hype” Artist Competition hosted by The Source Magazine in Miami, where he placed 3rd out of 500 competitiors. Influenced by 2pac, Outkast, Biggie, BG, 8Ball & MJG, Nas and Jay Z, Severe wanted to start over and stay free. In order to prevent from going back, he felt he needed to get money the right way. Severe began recording with childhood friends C.H. and Grim Swisser. C.H. reworked the outdoor shed in his mothers backyard into a small studio with a keyboard, beat machine, a mic, and a digital recorder. Severe began to make noise on the hip hop music scene with his first group “D.R.E.A.M. CO.” in which they released the album "Time Waits For No One". As we all know life has it's pitfalls and Severe landed back in jail. Upon his release, Severe returned back to the lab where he reunited with Producer/ Rapper/ Engineer, and more importantly, good friend "NoEmoshin" from the group "F.L.A LYF", who had just got out of prison and was now residing in Orlando, Florida. Severe began recording song after song until he accumalated over a 100 songs. Severe began recording and writing with various local artists and national recording artists’ such as Young Dou, GrimSwisser and his cousin Bali of the super producer group “The Runners” to name a few. Eager and grateful to be back in the studio and working on his first solo project, Severe put his heart and soul into his music. Upon completion of his Mixtape "Severe Education" with Mr. Southern Smoke himself "D.J. Smallz" Severe has already began to capture the attention of Radio and Industry Executives. With his Album "Money Is Everything" set to release early 2009, the future looks bright. FEAR THE FUTURE, the Future is TRE aka Severe.
