Album Notes
"This is the music I grew up with - New Orleans Jazz & Spirituals, Louis Armstrong & Mahalia Jackson - my musical education.

In 2012, some buddies of mine started a band for Mardi Gras,"The Soggy Po' Boys." Soulful vocals, horn heavy with a killer rhythm section - funky and greasy, just like The Crescent City itself.

Two years, many gigs, and one CD later, they've written some original music in the spirit of NOLA... righteous. You hold in your hands the new album - their new funky, jazzy tunes that will make you shake butt and forget your troubles.

The Po Boys and I may be from New England, but NOLA oozes from our pores - raise a glass and shake your ass... yeah you right...

Red Beans and Ricely Yours,

Bruce Pingree, Host of The Blues Show, WUNH and Radio Free Amsterdam
