Project Odjiko (Resurrection) Vol. 1

by Sol-Akishi

PROJECT ODJIKO (Resurrection) is a boundless and timeless experience.  It is a melodic expedition through Akishi thought and culture—Each tone and vibration resurrecting our inner divinity and encouraging us to awaken our latent potential.  While very pleasing to the ear, PROJECT ODJIKO is a message to the heart; a heartfelt expression of divine love….Love of our children, love of our mates, love of life and love of the essence of nature. These soulful invocations guide our lives and inspire divine action.  They are the ancestral gifts we share with all.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Sol-Akishi Initiative was organized in 1999 to convey aspects of Akishi culture through the use of modern media, including (but not limited to) Internet, books, magazines, audio/visual recordings, social media, radio, podcast and more...

Within Akishi society, the communication arts are revered as conscious compositions used to perform rituals, to celebrate festivals and cosmic events, and also when corresponding with natural forces. Every song, chant, and drumbeat is an intentional expression of the collective. Amongst the Akishi people, the art of invocation and proverb is complimentary to the art of inscription and scroll. Both are used as techniques that develop character and mindfulness as knowledge is passed from generation to generation. While also entertaining, Akishi tone teaches social values that stimulate excellence. It is used to praise cultivation or criticize neglect of the community.

“REVOLUTION SOUND”

If you could close your eyes and hear the sound of the sun’s rays; then you would be experiencing the ethereal vibrations of Sol-Akishi. Like the sun, Sol-Akishi’s striking tracks and penetrating rhythms will expand your mind, open your senses, and inspire your life. Expressed in the indigenous language of the Akishi people, The "AKISHI-TONE" is functional, practical and always purposeful. Explore our revolutionary sound and surround yourself in the Sol-Akishi essence and invocation.
