Album Notes
"A record where one can find a very personal blend of influences, from early Laurie Anderson to Terry Riley and LaMonte Young, from classical darmstadian avantgarde (Stockhausen, Nono) to the more progressive. This album was originally the soundtrack from a theatre piece with the same name. However not only does the music stands on it own without any visual context, but it is so deep and soulful, intense and ecstatically evocative that, as a sculptor, Jeanette gives form to her own music, so full of light and darkness. And personality.
Sometimes the voices layered over acoustic zithers are so intense that they feel like prayers.
A truly masterpiece from this beautiful composer/performer from Sweden.
A treasure to be soon discovered"

Die Loreley
Entrancing and beguiling from the first notes, this album is an intimate treasure that has not left my player. In places achingly beautiful, the deeply feminine voices have a nurturing quality, made more sublime by the remarkable sax arrangments, especially in the final track which seems to reach upward to some high, undiscovered place. Ms Sollen is a hugely gifted composer in complete control of her soundworld. Highly recommended and one of my best discoveries this year. More please!
