ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'The Lights Behind Us' is a cosy and warm, yet spaced out Debut EP from Sonaura. For 30 minutes you can easily forget where you are and let Sonaura take you from sunrise glows, through the starry depths of space and safely back to a warm log fire.

The music was all recorded on 4 track cassette and features soothing keyboards, sunburst guitars, electronic and acoustic drums and ghostly yet intimate vocal lines textured by distorted samples and various household objects.

Mainly based on meditative drones with simple melodies floating on top, the subtle counter-rhythms in the samples, vocals and basslines give the music a truly free and relaxed feel.
