Album Notes
Soulstice's music is rooted in the soul tradtion. Soul is the heart of the people, that thing that helps us get through life unscathed. Soulstice suggests the heart is "The Last Thing To Go". Soulstice's music is a kin to the statement "I Am", it can be anything at any time to any one. Soulstice seeks to state what music is to us through creating it. We offer, "This Is Music".

Ever found yourself in a park, everything happening around and inside you all at one time. Ever felt as much apart of a scene as the little red specs of color are in Pasley pattern? see how they help the yellow ones to create that orange hue on a quilt? Ever felt like these things outside of you were in harmony or conversation with each other and you were simply the medium between them? "This Is Music" is an attempt to give voice to many experiences as such. To help poetically convey the subtle and non-verbal human experiences. To this end Soulstice offers; "Life is Music".

Soulstice's music is jazzy, bluesy, rock inspired, funky and R&B inspired at any given time. Soulstice mainly draws from the jazz/gospel/blues experiences. Soulstice creates music from a jazzy/free/evolutionary perspective. However, we manifest most of it through hints of gospel/spirit music sprinkled all through it and garnish it with a little blues.
