ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For What Was Gained tells the story of friendship, family, honor to country and the reality of war. It is rare for a song to be so effective without taking sides as it honors all involved while allowing the listener to come to their own conclusions. The reason it didn't make it on the the CD "Unbounded" is feedback from friends who listened to the rough mix's said it did not fit into the flow of the songs, that it was unique unto itself. That being said, there are some of us who miss it, so if you download it you can make your own playlist. The production is spare acoustic guitar and vocal yet also features a cello that rides protectively underneath. It is a free download for a limited time - to celebrate the release of "Unbounded" and it is suggested that, under the honor system, it would go to all those who have either purchased or downloaded the CD via Spencer's web site and any other on-line distributors.
