Stacy Buehler started singing to young children and their families at the infamous Old Town School of Folk Music teaching Wiggleworms. Her classes were such a hit that they were frequently "sold out." She began recording her music so that they could do Wiggleworms with Stacy at home. A Mom in her class says "her voice is so easy to listen to...it’s so clear...kid’s are drawn to it." It's a rarity to find a kid's musician whose music a grown-up might turn on without kids. Stacy's music is just that. It's fun; it's hummable; it's energetic. Listen once, and you'll be hooked. Stacy brings originality to kid's favorites. Her amazing voice and great guitar-playing turn "Wheels on the Bus" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" into something unique and lovely. But her talent really comes through in her fun and immediately memorable original tunes.
After recording and releasing 2 children's albums, Stacymusic and Over in the Meadow, Stacy pursued her Master's in Early Childhood from the prestigous Erikson Institute-Advanced Study in Child Development in Chicago. From there she brought her talents to Chicago Public Schools teaching in their early childhood program. She is currently teaching early childhood in Evanston at the Baker Demonstration School. She continues to work on her long-awaited third children's album and perform out and about Chicagoland.
Stacy's music can also be heard on The Old Town School of Folk Music's own children's music c.d.’s, Wiggleworms and Wiggleworms Love You.
