Singer songwriter meets modern rock. Sounding something like Mumford and Sons meets the Black Keys, with a sprinkle of Johnny Cash. Chad brings a large pedal board, two large amplifiers and a Gretsch guitar. Andrew adds progressive rhythms expected of today’s modern indie rockers. Surprisingly Steady Hills has a larger multi layered sound than you might expect from a two piece!
Steady Hills debut EP 'Alone in the Marquee' is a raw live off the floor recording. The album is a stage performance not a studio production. It was literally recorded alone in Halifax's Marquee Club. This experimental recording style was inspired by Daniel Lanois. The vocals, drums and guitar were recorded together in one take live off the floor through 4000 watts of PA equipment echoing though the club. the result is a large spacious sound, and a honest representation of what you'll hear at a Steady Hills live show.
Steady Hills has been featured on radio shows such as, Live 105’s.’Live Underground’, CBC’s ‘Main Street’ , CKDU 88.1 FM ‘Potato Salad’ and Trent Radio - 92.7 CFFF FM and Route 104.
“The duo, walks the line between folk and blues rock…the set only got better as it went on and it was their loud set that set the tone for the great night”

“The album itself is rather haunting thanks in part to the recording process and Harrington’s vocals which at times bear striking resemblance to the UK’s White Lies”
