ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
STERyLE formed in the small town of Roxboro, NC in 2002. Throughout their career so far, the band has shared the stage with many national acts including: Walls Of Jericho (Trustkill Records), Diecast (Century Media Records), The Autumn Offering (Victory Records), Hell Within (Lifeforce Records), Silent Civilian (Mediaskare Records), Sworn Enemy (Abacus Records), On Broken Wings (Eulogy Records), Alesana (Fearless Records), Knives Exchaning Hands (Tragic Hero Records), Suicide City (featuring former members of Biohazard and Kittie) and many more. Even with the variety of influences, the band still continues to have it's own unique sound. S E V E R A N C E was recorded in 2007 with Jamie King (He is Legend, Between The Buried and Me, Through The Eyes of The Dead)and it displays the bands ability to combine devastating guitars, crushing bass, thunderous drums, and aggressive, yet hearfelt vocals, with a live show you don't want to miss.

I have been a fan of this band going on 4 years now & they have continued to grow both mentally & musically. Not only are all of the members sweethearts, but they can produce amazing music... hence this album. It has the power to read out to more than just one area of fans. This album amazes all, young & old. It's simply amazing in every way possible. I would highly recommend this album to ANY of my friends.

I may not have been there from the beginning, but I've heard their sound when they first started off, and I will say this... I've never, in my 17 years, watched a band evolve as much as STERyLE has. This CD blows all their other CD's, and even some other signed band CD's, out of the water. If someone would have told me they were going to sound this way after they were done recording, I wouldn't have believed it. The guitar is amazing in all the songs... each rift unique and very crisp. The drums sound amazing, and hold together each song incredibly. The bass molds the gap between guitar and drums, and creates a sound like no other. And the vocals... oh my gosh, the vocals. I never thought that I would hear Mr. Scoles sound the way he does on this album. He sounds so good. Together, the four of them have created a sound that has made a permanent place in my life. If there was ever a CD that I owned that was worth being on repeat for days on end, this is the CD. I would recommend it to anyone I know... even if you're not into the type of vocals, you could appreciate it musically for how phenomenal it is. This CD should be on the list of every metal head's "must haves."

The best feeling a sound can give.
Severance is an utterly amazing album. The music creeps into your soul from every direction and there is no repelling it...there's no reason to try and fight it because it's so great. Listening to this album sounds like Halloween feels. That exciting rush that gets your heart pumping with excitement. It's that haunting sound that somehow makes you extremely happy and pensive at the same time. There are no words that can negatively describe this album. The lyrics and vocals, the guitar rifts that don't get out of your head, the heart-pounding drums, and the infectious concrete bass meld together to form one of the best metal CD's I've EVER heard. Who needs cliff diving to get an adrenaline rush when you can listen to STERyLE and feel so alive?

Hell of an album!
An impressive achievement and a sign of massive growth for the Roxboro quartet. Severance should definitely bring the record labels by the drove. Keep representing NC local music Steryle! Hope you get on the road soon!

This CD is great. The perfect music for when you're feeling down or angry in which it uplifts you. Other than that, a great energy rush.

I remember the first time I ever seen STERyLE live. They played at plan b 3-4 years ago with the 5 L's and Timid. Their sound blew me away, This CD is amazing, and STERyLE is amazing. If you ever have the opportunity to come to their shows, def do so. Their music is amazing, and not only that, the guys in STERyLE are amazing. They are the kindest guys you will ever meet, and you sure will have an awesome time!

Steryle Severance is an EVOLUTION
I've only had the opportunity to see Steryle practice over the years. I was astounded as they have evolved in their skills to culminate in this superb collection of songs. I live half way across the country, but made it to the CD Release show last month. I leave the CD playing at work all day, and skip around to play what is matching my mood. This CD has it all, a range of songs and musical talents from this delightful band.
