My long-time friend and Tanglefoot colleague Terry Young once said that one of the nice things about writing instrumental tunes is that you can name them as whimsically as you like and not have to justify it. Nonetheless, there is a notion behind the title of this tune, although it would be pedestrian to explain it.

Another piece that sounds completely unlike anything I've ever written before, this began as something completely different when I started working on it in 2008. At the time I was actually fooling around with ideas for a Tanglefoot instumental - something Terry (Young) and Sandra (Swannell) could really go crazy on. But as things progressed the tune seemed to want to go in a direction all its own, and I followed. That may seem like an artificially whimsical description of the creative process, but that is usually how it plays out, at least for me.

Play it loud!
