Album Notes
"Tight neat package of high octane chugga metal with blues rock influence." -Chris Finster (Geomana Studios)

"It would be a stretch to consider the four-piece metal band Still Dead "retro." The group's sound is distinctly modern and it doesn't wallow in the past, as many other acts do. The music, however, draws inspiration from the past and does so with a knowledge of the band's predecessors that isn't seen in many of its contemporaries"-Brian Blair (Salem Monthly)

UPDATE: Still Dead has recently recruited former American Head Charge drummer, Chris Emery, to play keyboards and samples in the band.

Killer CD!
I picked this CD up from one of the guys in the band at the show. I shoulda got their autograph.

The CD is amazing - it has slick production from the once prime minister sinister of Portland's (since been disposed by Black Diamond) production Chris Finster. Production is top notch, mastering is awesome, its as good of quality as anything you'd find on a CD shelf now, if not better.

Song writing is frikkin great too. I'm a metal guy through and through - the heavier the better. Revelation, SWYN, and other totally have that cornered.

The suprise to me was the track "My affliction" - its the best song on the CD and has the most infectious chorus I've ever heard. The drums are pictures perfect, the bass tight and booming, even forwarning of whats to come, the guitars cut through like a crazy man with a chainsaw at some points and at other are so eeire and reserved that it'd get your girlfriend wet in a heart beat. The vocals soar like nothing else; I'd go so far to say its the catchiest song released by anyone in PDX in 2008.

Check out the CD, its better than I described it.

PS - I want Still Dead's babies.

Nor Cal approval
Well done on all ends. T gets it done lyrically, transitions in his vocals are pretty flawless. J plays some great low-end w/ harmonics. Josh tears ass on the bass, keeps the lows, low. Kyle, kicks out an effortless performance on percussion / drums. One note: SEE THESE GUYS LIVE!!!! Amazing performance, you won\'t be sorry.

Love it
This album is not normally my style but I have got to tell you it really does kick ass! I love the mix and the unique sound. This takes from all the best and rolls it into one! Try it, you'll like it, especially "My Affliction"

This Album Kicks Ass
I think that this is an instant classic (at least in my book.) The more I listen to it the more I enjoy the layers and ideas. These guys are sure to go far. Do yourself a favor...if you love a mesh of modern hard rock and metal then pick these guys up!

Hot Damn
If you are looking for sadistic, brutal, but soothing music.. this is definitely the CD :)
Dirty E is a great addition to a great band..

Lyrically, this is an insane persons wet dream.
Musically, this is a metal lovers wet dream.

Still Dead is one of the most enthusiastic, face-to-face metal band in Oregon. After your set, go and hang out near the pit and watch the other bands, that's how they do it. Still Dead is nothing but in your face metal, that even kids as young as 6 can rock out to!

I bought this Cd at my very first concert. and when i saw Still Dead live, i knew the Cd would be amazing. Sharon The American Glory does in no way dissapoint. Every song is awesome, but the ones that stick out are: Revelation (Father Dirt), Easy Does It, Clockwork, Dahmination, and My Affliction. I would reccomend this CD to anyone who enjoys Metal. 5 Stars. This album proves that this band is completely overlooked and deserves more attention. Still Dead rules!.

Wicked good Local band!
I don't really like too many of the local bands in my area, but this one is DEFINITELY worth buying, or at least a listen, they know how to rock, they hit you hard and keep you coming back for more!
