G.L.O is 18 year old Sharnell Murray and Meshack.
Sharnell was discovered when whilst working a summer job at the same company where Meshack worked, a colleague of Meshack's heard her singing in the corridor. He told Meshack about her, they set up a lunchtime audition in a meeting room and Meshack was immediately blown away and G.L.O was formed shortly thereafter.
Originally from Wolverhampton, Sharnell now lives in East London, where she is working and studying. Her influences range from R&B, Hip-Hop to Reggae & Lovers Rock and she draws inspiration from artistes such as Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill and Brandy.
Music has always been a strong influence in her life, having formed singing groups with friends and entered her first talent competition at the age of 4. At the early age of 11, she performed in 'Joy to the World'; the BBC 1 televised Black Christmas Celebration recorded at The Royal Albert Hall.
Meshack, from London, is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who plays the drums, keyboards, guitar and bass. He is also a songwriter, producer and sound engineer whose influences are diverse, ranging from Parliament/Funkadelic, Prince, The Gap Band, Slave, and Cameo to Bob Marley and Fela Kuti. He has done session work on both sides of the Atlantic.
